A Beautiful Mess is a personal exploration of my design university journey. This piece served as a comprehensive summary of all the projects I worked on, delving into several aspects such as the fields each project belonged to, the level of research required, my happiness and satisfaction in retrospect, the topics, the dynamics of team collaboration, and the year in which they were undertaken.
“A Beautiful Mess” allowed me to analyze and visually communicate the story of my creative and academic growth, combining structure with artistic expression to make sense of my design education.

I named this project A Beautiful Mess because it represents me at my core. There is a unique beauty in creative chaos—a process where ideas bloom in unexpected ways, intertwining structure and spontaneity. This concept resonates deeply with my journey as a designer.
Ultimately, A Beautiful Mess culminated in a visual representation that resembled a flower—a fitting symbol for growth, complexity, and beauty emerging from chaos. This project became more than just a summary of my university experience; it was an introspective exploration, combining data, art, and storytelling to celebrate the essence of my design education.

The color palette of A Beautiful Mess draws inspiration from Neri Oxman’s Gemini project, a significant influence on my design journey during university. Oxman’s work, which elegantly merges science, art, and technology, has been a guiding light for my creative endeavors. The overlapping and layered qualities in her work mirrored the interplay I often found between graphic design and other fields throughout my projects.
